The Urban Woods Delft is a high-tech 10-story apartment complex. There is hardly any concrete, as the building is constructed from scraps of wood pallets and scrap wood.
The wooden circular homes are full of smart devices to save energy and water. With a wooden shell, interior walls made of flax and wood fiber as insulation, the building is almost entirely bio-based. The material is also adaptable to changing needs in the future and reusable. With a BREEAM outstanding score, the highest possible score on this important sustainability assessment. In the Netherlands there are only a few buildings with this super score.
